The "B" action must also close the "C" pad, this should be automatic if the crow's foot (under the RH pinky cluster) is set correctly.

What happens if you go down from C (leaving the fingers there) down to B? This should work regardless of how messed-up the linkage at the crow's foot is.

When possible, I always play the mid-staff B always with both left (on B touchpiece) and right (on C touchpiece) fingers.

If that's the case, check (or have checked) the linkage between the B and C keys.
