you certainly are a wealth of information on this subject, all of which is greatly appreciated. .....I've been playing my bassoon for about two years now and am still getting to know it.....a bit old fashioned but a very nice sounding horn....I don"t know how it sounded with the original bocal but the Fox(with modified corking) seems to work very well...thanks again..CS
