When bassoonists give recitals, do they generally sit or stand?

They usually stand if it's a solo recital, otherwise if it's an ensemble (trio etc.) then they'd usually all be seated.

And they'd probably use a sling (neck strap) to support the bassoon instead of a seat strap, floor spike or Dutch knee rest. A balance hanger can be fitted to alter the way the bassoon balances when using a sling.
