Does anyone know the type of solder I should use to fill in a crack on the bridge key arm for my oboe. It is not broken off but it will break so I want to solder it back together so it does not have a crack in it. I know it is silver solder but what % of silver should it be ?

Silver solder wire with around 45% to 50% silver should be fine (used with the appropriate flux).

OK - sounds like what I have been researching - what kind of flux is good - any thoughts ?

Easy-flo flux is a good all-round one for silver soldering.
I use it with both Easy-flo solder and also G6 silver solder which is a much higher temperature silver solder which is ideal for soldering pad cups to cup arms (before soldering them to key barrels or key rods), adjusting screw pips, right-angle bends, touchpieces to touchpiece arms and other parts that you don't want to fall off when soldering other parts on afterwards or in close proximity.
