Perhaps Mollenhauer is still making oboes, oboes d'amore and English horns?
It has also possible that Ken Decker may be making some oboes.
Orsi or Orsi/Incagnoli may be still making some oboes.
Not sure whether Santoni is still in business, perhaps.
Amati is at least a maker of "alleged" professional model oboes.
Rauch in Vienna may still be making Viennese style oboes on order.
Alan Hollander I believe is still fettling Bulgheroni oboes as "Gordet."

Peter Hurd has a good website where he lists most makers:

Shame he doesn't have active links to the current makers - hence the reason why I put as many as I could think of on here so they're all in the one place. I'll add the 'latecomers' to the original list.

Has anyone got any info on Springer oboes?

Thanks Alphons - I don't know why Springer didn't show up when I searched 'Springer oboe'. And now added to the list.

O you know I speak with my teacher (Mr. Hollander) about a lot of things...

Been years now and I can't believe I've never asked him about manufacturing Gordets xD. I'll ask him tomorrow and update about what he says....

I have only heard good things about Incagnoli but never had a chance to try one of their instruments. I found their web page, unfortunately the English and German versions are under construction but one can enter the Italian one and use an online translator. Here it is:

Take that list with a pinch of salt! How inaccurate can it possibly be?

They list Covey as being made in Italy. AFAIK, the original Coveys were made in Baltimore, MD, and the later ones in Atlanta, GA.

Or am I missing something here?

Good luck with that, Howard.

Or contraception.

Wonder if they'll be reading this in Vatican city?

No - I don't work for the Foreign Office and didn't write that memo neither.
