Hi everyone.

Been playing on a Lelandais 4 superior quality for a while now and got to say that for me at least it has been really good. I’m getting great tone and overall good throughout all registers.
Not sure on what year this might me from but if any experts out there would like to guess and maybe let me know ?

Any one here that uses the Lelandais as their main mouthpiece?
I know many players have them refaced as alot of them were poorly finished but what are your thoughts?

I quite like the inherent sound quality these produce (or, "enable" you to produce). But yes, they usually need refacing.
I sold an un-refaced one a year or so back, and sort of regret it (but I have TOO MANY mouthpieces and a new baby...)

Yes that is true. For me at least I’ve found they give a richer and warmer sound.
I done the same thing a few years back however that particular mouthpiece needed work on rails and tip however still playable.
I wish I could own an Kaspar, Chedeville and another Lelandais but with a family to look after it’s just not possible.

I have one which is extremely bright, and seems to choke on the note sometimes. But it is not marked “superiere” so I suspect it’s one of their cheap ones.

Maybe with a reface it would play better ?
Do you have any photos of it ?
