 Old Besson Clarinet
Author: Ireneus

I have bought at an auction an Albert (simple) system clarinet in C, marked as a Besson. It was in good condition, apart from needing new pads and corks, which I have had fitted. It seems to be blackwood, with german silver keywork. It plays nicely. The serial number is 3088, but it is also marked with the number 462, or possibly 463. Can anyone give me an idea as to its possible date? Internet searches have thrown up no answers.
