Hi All,

I have not posted this link for several years.

Click on the link at the right if necessary but turn your speakers down.

Happy Holidays,

Thanks, Hank! Hilarious! I think we've all met one of these performers at some time or another...if not literally, then in spirit.

I hate to admit it...but I was laughing so hard the first time that I had to re-listen to it in order to appreciate the full beauty of performance.

Merry Christmas!
Fuzzy

Fuzzy and GBK,

It is a majestic rendering that never gets old! And the strings were ever so lush.

If I were a trumpet player, I would respond with the following counter examples:

Two weeks ago, Wynton Marsalis celebrating the Holidays with his little daughter Oni (who can really sing):

Maynard actually playing the high notes on The First Noel, The Christmas Song-- listen to the descending gliss at 4:42-4:47--and the wild Jingle Bells finale:

Norwegian virtuoso Ole Antonsen nailing the part on the Gloria:

And, finally, back to Wynton--this time performing Handel with Kathleen Battle:

Happy Holidays, even with the trumpets!
