So I ordered a backun barrel for my clarinet on the eighth, and since weinermusic is usually pretty fast, considering I live out here in Massachusetts, I'm wondering why I haven't received it yet, but it says on the site that the barrel is back ordered? The rest of the shipment is ready, but they won't process it and ship until they get everything? That's just my guess.
So my question, are Backun barrels really so popular that they are back ordered? What should I do?
If you yourself have had this issue, what did you do?

Call Backun directly. They'll send you a variety of barrels to try. Send back the ones you don't want.

The Backun items are popular and do sell on a daily basis.
I apologize for the delay for the barrel you ordered. We recieved a LARGE shipment from Canada on Tuesday and will be processing all backorderes within the next 2 days.
As Paul said, we are buried in snow today (8-10in so far), but still here trying to get orders out as fast as possible.

There are a large number of Backun barrels for sale on eBay. My impression is that the recent dissolution of the Backun/Bliss clarinet relationship has been tough on Backun. But then, what do I know? I am the proud owner of a Backun barrel.

What happened to that deal from about 8 months ago where you could buy a new Bakun barrel of your choice for $35? I bought one and now I think I want another in a 65. Now the price seems to be $150.
