I heard from my teacher ( Dr. John Anderson, Univerity of MN) that one should not oil the bore more than once a year. The wood should stay moisturized enough if stored in proper climate and humid control and with a dampit or two in the case.( Not nesessary during summer/humid seasons.) p.s-in case you don't know, a dampit is a long, skinny, pencil-shaped sponge that releases moisture to your clariet.
I personally don't like the dampits. I simply use a cigar humidifier that i can get at tobacco stores for $1.50.
