also, is any one POSITIVE of the pronunciation? every one says (HEE NA STERA) but i heard that he himself said it was (GIN A STERA) with a hard g sound.... anyone know?

I'm as positive as my Bakers's:
"His father was of Catalan descent;, and Ginastera often preferred to pronounce his name with a soft'g,' as in the Catalan language; the standard pronounciation, however, is with a hard 'g'."

Appears as if the HEE loses out either way; JIN or GIN would be the preferable ways.
