Jimis4klar,
I've been adding p.s. notes on both of my threads concerning the Juno J5. I did this specifically so as not to drive the post to the top of the thread.
OK...so I tried Plumber's tape. The first unknown brand made for a very difficult insertion into the barrel. When I got through playing for a little bit, I decided to take it apart. I found that it was much harder to remove than to insert.
So... I decided to use a thinner Plumber's tape from Home Depot with the Brand name of Oatey FASTape. The J5 inserted into the barrel much easier. However, when it came time to remove it,... it stuck...again. This time it only took 30 minutes to get them apart. After getting them apart, I looked at the thick 3 mm "O" rings and found that the Oatey plumber's tape had been completely rubbed off of the "O" ring.
Frustrated...I sent it back to Amazon. Now, some may say why not keep using it with the thicker plumber's tape? All I can say is that my 79+ year old hands aren't very strong any more. I also tried using the next, thinner, standard, 16 mm I.D. "O" ring and it didn't work out at all. Much too thin.
David H. Kinder,
Per Brad's email to me, his Luna 3D Bb mouthpiece comes in only one tip opening and facing length and that is 1.05 @ 37ish. The only other offering for a 3D Bb mouthpiece (that I know of) is from Pereira 3D at a cost of $195.00. However, I believe Pereira customizes the mpc. I suggest calling to make sure.
