The strength comparison chart seemed to be closer to reality for the "Classic" Legeres.
My recommendation is to start pretty low in strength (start off as if you have no idea). You do want to grab the "weakest" strength that gets a decent sound for you. For me, it took about a week or more going through a soft strength and having it sort of "collapse." Then go up a quarter strength and do that for a few weeks........etc. etc. until you kinda just settle on the right one.
Best thing EVER is Amazon. They take them back.
Once you pretty much hone in, try a passel of about four in rotation to nail it down. It literally took me a full year to be certain. But here it the kicker......you MUST get comfortable on ONE mouthpiece. If you have a bunch of different facings that you use, it will muck up the whole process.
And then if you DO switch mouthpieces, unless you're talking about one dimensional change on the same type mouthpiece, you have to do the whole process all over again (if things are truly close, you may only have to adjust up or down a quarter strength from there).
Maybe some of you can manage to shorten up the process a bit, but it takes EFFORT, and no amount of recommendations from others will work for YOU and your particular mouthpiece.
