I regret selling E12 I had before I bought R13. It was so easy to play and it was in tune. It would make such a nice back up clarinet.
I had a plastic Artley that I was going to fix and use as a back up. I fixed it but it is nowhere near the E12, not even remotely close...
The R13 did sound better than E12 but there is no ceiling for perfection, of course.
At least, with newer instrument like E12F, you should not have any mechanical problems so even if you get better instrument I would suggest to keep the E12F as a back up, esp. if you play professionally.
