I've only seen their wooden Bb clarinets and sax mouthpieces (ebonite with a metal shank), but never a metal clarinet by them. Their wooden clarinets from what I remember were nice players and well built - much nicer than other older Italian clarinets I've seen.

I've got a Lucian Bassi wooden clarinet I don't think it's Italian. I'm pretty certain it was made by Kohlert. I've found a pictures of identical instruments stamped Kohlert anyway.

My particular one is a fine instrument that's clearly hardly ever been played. The finger hole edges are as sharp as the day they were drilled. It's notable for not having wide 12ths E/B and F/C. They got something very right there.

Lucian Bassi seems to have been a stencil name used by Jack Heyworth's in Blackpool for their cheaper models so they may well have been made by different makers at different times.
