As a safety net you could also number each key, lever etc with a piece of masking tape as you sequentially remove them (always a risk of a key board getting accidentally knocked over) !!

Personally I usually prefer to replace all screws and rods back into their respective instrument positions rather than keep them on a key board. Just my choice.

Not quite at mid 80s yet, though not far to go (God willing) so can fully empathise with your comment.
Most depressing aspect is when however hard one practices, you know that at best all you can do is slow down the rate of decline.
