 Free ligature turns out alright...

Many years ago I acquired these two ligatures from a junk box at a school... One for Alto sax, one for Clarinet. They are both as ugly as sin (I know, shouldn't really be my primary concern...) and after initial experimentation they went to my "ligature drawer" to reside for about 20 years...
The other day I pulled out one to try it with a Legere Sop sax reed Reed and discovered it to be a GEM. Easily as good as the Silverstein I never use (largely because my wife stole it.
It's marked "made in England" and it can be difficult to adjust the Reed (which tends to slide around more that usual until tightened) but then works excellently. Certainly a more ringing and clear tone quality than my BG Tradition.
Has anyone used/experienced these? (photo attached)
