C.G. or G.C. custom clarinet?

Hi all,

I have recently acquired a clarinet labeled “C.G.” or “G.C.” USA. It belonged to the late husband of a friend of mine. She was able to tell me that he had gotten it custom made (possibly in New York), but she didn’t know the details or where it came from. I have done some research and it’s led me to think it might be a Conn, but I have never seen Conn use that logo before. Has anyone ever seen this? Could you shed some light on to where this horn might have came from?
