Comparing to other photos - I think you're right! I've submitted Alvin's name to the archive, with a question mark. There are quite a few New Orleans musicians looking through the collection too, and maybe your suggestion will spark their recognition/memory.

Thanks, also, for the information regarding Alvin. I've seen his name listed on some of my recordings, but I never knew what he looked like. I was also unaware of his switch to Boehm (I've frequently seen his name on those "Clarinetists who played Albert..." lists.)

I'll look up some of his music and listen again today. Thanks for adding excitement to these little endeavors of mine!
