I agree Bob Bernhart. I think John was playing the SE Artist. Maybe he told me this as I was recently in touch with him. Again, he surely uses the CSVR's in the orchestra as Tom pointed out, but he played a solo performance recently using a different horn and I'm almost positive it was this new model. Like 99.9 percent sure. I recall him saying or reading that he felt it was too warm sounding for the orchestra, but great for solo work. I don't know if he said this in an email from him or where I heard it. Sorry folks...
I'll ask him the next time we write. He's so busy I don't want to bother him unless something comes up which is business related. Thanks for understanding my situation to not bother him.
