I am looking for a new reed case right now since my D'Addario reed case just broke and I saw a wooden reed case with glass pane by Yibuy on Amazon. It looked pretty nice and the price was cheaper than the other wooden reed case that I've been looking at. But I can't find any reviews about this and was wondering if anyone know this case would be good? Also, if you have any other suggestion about clarinet reed case with glass pane that would be great
p.s. I am still a student so I prefer reed case that are cheaper than 40 bucks since I don't have that much money yet. Thanks!

It looks nice and sleek, but is there anything holding the reeds in place? or are the reeds free to slide around in the reed case, causing tip damage?

I don't think there is any rubber holding the reed in place. I've seen other people with case like this that doesn't have any rubber to hold the reed so I thought the reed wouldn't move that much but I guess I was wrong? Do reed really move that much in the case without the rubber holding it in place?

I've got a reed case that appears to be functionally identical to the one you have linked, except for having a different type of wood.
As far as I can tell the "glass plate" is actually some sort of plastic, but it is still flat and functions identically in my experience.
The upper portion of the case has a velvet covered foam lining, which puts enough pressure on the reeds that they don't move around. (unless I was to hit the case hard against something else.)
It closes with magnets that are plenty strong to keep the case closed, it has never opened accidentally. If I don't pay attention while opening it however, I could lose grip and throw my reeds everywhere.

Personally, I prefer the Protec Cases. They cost from $15-20, keep your reeds in place, dry them flat, and take up much less space (and holds 12!) I understand that wooden reed cases are gorgeous and classy and are used by many, but You can't go wrong with the Protec.

The wood ones like that are great for where you practice. When you're getting ready for a rehearsal or gig and are in a hurry, though, you just know the reeds are going to end up all over the place and out of your carefully selected order.

I have used this exact case for the past 18 months. It's excellent and completely worth the price. I play Legeres and have no issues with reeds sliding around. The magnets are very appealing. I've gone through 2 other cases with latches in which the latches no longer work. Highly recommend buying this case.
