On a major internet auction site, there's a Beifang Ebonite Eb for sale for $80. It's coming from Western Europe. I've never heard of the brand, but seems too good to be true. I've quizzed Tom Ridenour about producing an Eb. Unfortunately, and I completely understand his point, there's not enough demand to justify the R&D for a profitable Eb.
You guys have any experience with the brand? Quality? Consistency?
For $80 it might worth a stab in the dark and see what happens...otherwise I'll make a lamp out of it.
