"Brevete' " is French for "patented". European patent claims often don't include the patent date. When you do find the serial number, you can probably date the clarinet right here on sneezy.org, where there's a listing of Buffet serial numbers with their dates (under "How old is my...?" if the links are the same as before the changeover to the new machine).
