Don't discount R13s until you actually try a couple. They might be the perfect instrument for you.

Also look at what is available from Leblanc, Selmer, Ridenour and Hanson, to name just a few that get discussed here regularly.

Depending on how much you are planning on spending, the Leblanc/Backun Symphonie ie a stellar value. For even less, you can get a Casdenza, or one of Tom Ridenpur's excellent Lyriques.

And there is always the used market!
