Ross Gorman of Paul Whitman's orchestra (the orchestra who premiered the Grof� arrangement with Gershwin playing the piano). As i understand it, even in his part it was written as in the piano version. But he decided to do it as a glissando. Only his started in before the break (in the chalumeaux register). I've only heard maybe one recording where the clarinetist didn't do a gliss.
