 RE: Weiner company policy

The charge policy is common in most circles, as you ordered the product, you must pay up front. They are willing to credit upon return. The better way is to make a trip to the store and try out as many horns as you can get your hands on.

I bought my Bass Cl. from Weiner. They are quite slow in sending product out, as well as crediting you on the return. They do have the best stock I found anywhere. Woodwind had no 1193 Bass Clarinets in stock, and Weiner had 5.

I would make the trip next time, and walk out with the horn, rather than wait a month to get it.

Sales tax is the only disadvantage. You will pay NY tax if you go there. The trip can be fun. Take in a show and have a nice dinner afterwards. Roundtrip airfares are usually reasonable to NYC.
