In England, the highest pitch , around the 1880s was 448 in the Queen's Hall
Orchestra under de Costa (Can't find reference just now.)
You probably know about the EU being lobbied by sopranos to agree on 432:
with the revivial of earlier works, the coloratura lasses were having a
difficult life
