Hello everyone

For anyone who is interested, here are a couple of links from my concert yesterday. Interesting program, Busoni and Reger don't get a whole heap of airtime here in Brisbane, though my organist friend knows their organ works fairly well. I do apologise in advance for the Bozza, I'm hoping I play it a lot better for my Masters recital on Tuesday.

And I despair anyone who does not find Baroque music absolutely incredible. I can listen to Bach's organ and piano works all day at work, and the joy I feel when playing Bach's works for solo violin and cello is matched only by playing the Bach and Handel oboe and flute works on my C clarinet. If anyone finds Baroque music boring and easy to play, then in my opinion, you are not playing it right. And sometimes the lesser known composers provide unexpected delights. I have played two of the Reger clarinet sonatas now, and find them to be incredibly beautiful.

Busoni Concertino clainet & piano

Bozza Caprice Improvisation clarinet & piano

Reger Sonata No. 2 for clarinet & piano First Movement

Reger Sonata No. 2 for clarinet & piano Movements 2, 3 & 4

Kind regards
