Bear has been here all along, occasionally posting very lucid
announcements of his new concerti. Others have assured me that he is a
talented composer, and I see no reason to doubt that. However, he does
suffer from (possibly diabetes-induced) paranoia. This is actually the
first manifestation of that we've seen in quite a number of years. He
related the U of A story back when he first joined.
