Joe---Ted Casher here: Yes, there is such an animal as a C soprano. The
late Terry Keefe enjoyed a lengthy career performing on a C soprano and a C
melody around the Key West region. When asked why, he replied "I wanted to
play instruments that were never used in a sax section in a big band!"
