The following is a message my father sent me this morning. I know there are some Notre Dame graduates on the list, and I thought they might want to know about Fr. Wiskirchen's passing.

>Our good friend and great musician, Father George Wiskirchen, CSC, went to
>heaven yesterday morning, Tuesday, May 17, after a long illness following a
>stroke.   He was residing at Holy Cross House at Notre Dame, IN.   Prior to his

>Director of Liturgical Brass Ensembles in the Sacred Heart Basilica, and an Associate
