I forgot to mention that when my wife and I were in Salzburg in March that a
taxi driver was driving us by the Mozarteum and I noticed construction going
 on.

The taxi driver said that, yes, it was very sad that they had to tear it
down because so many people were getting sick in the building. He said that
the city was going to rebuild it completely, but did not have any details on
it. I don't know if he meant the school or the actual performance hall.

Has anyone else heard anything about this tragedy or know what the fate of
 this very famous structure is?
