I can understand that. The more possibilities the better, and it's
always exciting to try new ways of doing something. I suppose what my
perspective is, as someone who has less time available for exploration,
is what are the *really important* parts of the German instrument that
make it different and interesting. I'm not completely convinced that
the fingering system is part of that, but I'm more than willing to be
convinced otherwise, and I'll be interested to hear how your
explorations go.
