This sounds very interesting. I would hope to be able to buy this also
eventually.

I have a 1965 extended play 45rpm disc of a string quartet (studio players)
playing a 3 movement 'work' of the Beatles songs arr. in the style of
Mozart, by Harry Wild, and prod. by Fritz Spiegl, who describes himself as
being in possession of the Dus. Moc. Diploma! The quartet call themselves
'The Barock-and-Roll Ensemble! On the flip side are guitar band arrangements
of 'Star of Eve Bossa Nova', 'My old Man`s a Dutchman', 'Tannhauser
Lettered Rock', and 'Midsummer`s Ice Cream'. The group call themselves 'Val
Kyrie and the Rhine Maidens'. The vinyl disc was called 'Eine Kleine
Beatlemusic', and it`s on HMV 7EG 8887, but most probably long deleted.
Harry Wild is no longer in the M.U. Directory, and seems to have been more
or less a one hit wonder man - I shall look him up in Google after I post
this. Spiegl was at one time a serious flutist (Liverpool Phil?) and he went
on to become a writer, humourist and radio broadcaster.
Quite good fun, yet all well performed.
Tony W.
