There is a very big difference between criticizing an interpretation and
declaring it sacrilegious or unworthy of existence. The latter is where one
becomes (perhaps only temporarily) a member of the taste police.

Criticize all you want! This is one of the greatest joys of a free society.

Each of us draws the line for ourselves. And none of us has right to
attempt to invalidate someone for drawing a different line. Criticize and
reject all you want, though!
