If you will look at the thanks that Fred Fennell gives out for
the people who helped him with his edition, you will see that I
get the kudos. But I made him promise up front that measure 211
(or maybe it's 212) of the 5th movement would NOT appear in his
edition. But I never checked to see if he really took it out as
I suggested. Tell me if it is in or out. It is the last measure
before the coda and slides into the coda one measure earlier than
had been the case before I got my hands on the piece.

And you still cannot marry my daughter for this "Gran Partita,"
"Serenade No. 10" lèse majesté.

Promises not to hiss and book cost more than a pizza. Maybe a
plate of nachos thrown in might get such an agreement.

Unfortunately, the Claremont Winds is not sponsored by the
Colleges (I wish it were). Actually I listed the Mozart as the
Serenade No.
10, and used "Gran Partita" (with one 't"), just to see if I
could stir your
wrath (which I did!). We are using that over edited Freddie
Fennell Ludwig
edition, with the ghastly page turns. David Suchik and Jeff
Lewis are
playing basset hounds... very well, I might say. No tenor saxes,
but Mozart
would have used them, had he known.

Come on down for the concert. I'll take you out for pizza if you
not to hiss and boo.
