Donna, Thanks for the info. It may be more than I wanted to know, but =
it
sounds like I ought to know something about it. By the way, I can think =
of
nothing I wouldn't want my spouse to know-unless I'd been very naughty.
Fortunately, we've been happily married for 22 years and to me, it was =
very
annoying initially to be denied the right to make appointments for my
husband, for example. We got those forms signed as quickly as possible.
Can you imagine suffering a major illness or injury and the physician =
would
not be allowed to discuss your condition with your spouse, if you =
yourself
were unable to do so? =20
If I had someone outside of our immediate family living here, it =
might
be extremely irritating to me for my mother-in-law, for example to be =
taking
phone messages from my health care providers. The example you mentioned
with the pharmacist sending medication home for you is another good =
example
of something that for some, would be unthinkable and for others, =
perfectly
acceptable. I'm glad they now have wall dividers at the prescription
pick-up counter at my pharmacy, for example. Who wants your nosy =
neighbor
or acquaintance leaning across the counter to see what your medication =
is or
listening to your conversation with the pharmacist about side effects,
instructions, etc...? =20
Boy, are we off-topic or what? Christy=20
