Allen & All -

Any engineers and instrument builders out there want to try a "slide
clarinet". Has anyone ever tried it? Boggles the mind, doesn't it? LOL

About 20 years ago a local band director was toying with teaching the
clarinet and flute players to learn slide trumpet for marching band, so
that they could be heard on a football field. I have always assumed that
the instruments were available.

Noooo, he didn't follow through with it.
