Klarinet Archive - Posting 000304.txt from 2003/10
From: "Karl Krelove" <karlkrelove@-----.net> Subj: [kl] Moderated List Question Date: Fri, 10 Oct 2003 08:12:23 -0400
Mark or David (or anyone who knows),
My understanding is that any replies to messages cross-posted between
clarinet@-----.org (the
unmoderated Klarinet list) will appear on Klarinet but not on Clarinet, and
that to have a reply appear on Clarinet the message needs to be sent to
clarinet@-----. If we want to reply to a Clarinet posting where its
original poster will see it, we'd need to know which ones come from
Clarinet.
When a message comes to the moderated list and appears on Klarinet, is it
identified? I see some messages, including the very active thread about
Reeds for Beginners, with [clarinet] after the [kl], and a few others with
[C], but all the message headers say To: klarinet@-----.org, because
that's where my copies are coming from. Are those clarinet@-----.org
identifiers or has all of the recent traffic been direct from Klarinet?
Is my understanding correct that replies to Clarinet messages sent back to
Klarinet do not appear in Clarinet but only go to the Klarinet members?
(whew!)
Thanks.
Karl Krelove
