Subj: Re: [kl] Survey - What brand of reeds do you use?

Currently I use Glotin Gaia III reeds # 3 1/2 and V12 3 1/2 with great
success...sometimes #4 Blue box and # 1/2 blue box reeds.

As to students generally steer them to Vandoren 2 21/2 and 3 streagnth
reeds.....I also like Legere synthetic personally and have been know to
practice on Fibracell medium hard reeds which require a long breaking phase
unfortunately. --- Original Message -----

seem to have taken a dip in quality, some have seemed to improve. So - what
reeds are YOU using these days?

Zondas and Gonzales reeds. Before that I was using Vandoren V 12's. I did
have some "regular" Vandorens that worked well for me when I couldn't get
the V 12's to play satisfactorily.

except for Mitchell Lurie, where I vacillated between 5's (too soft) and 5
1/2's (too stiff).
