Christy Erickson asked:

<<<Of the five different times listed below, which one would be the best
for
correctly soaking the clarinet reed in water before playing?

a. 30 seconds
b. 2-3 minutes
c. 45 seconds
d. 15 seconds
e. 1 minute>>>

I have been playing clarinet for about thirty-five years. In all that
time,
I do not recall ever soaking a clarinet reed in water before playing. I

stick them in my mouth whilst assembling the instrument.

Perhaps I'd be much more successful if only I had known the "correct"
answer.
