Hi Annie,

The conference takes place in two different locations. The main one,
Nybrokajen 11, is right next door to the hotel where I am "supposed" to be
staying. The other site is at the Royal University College of Music which
is supposed to be within walking distance of Nybrokajen 11. I'm not so
sure, though, that the Swedish "walking distance' is the same as the
American version. If you check out the notice on the ICA website, , all the information is there. You can e-mail
Lena Fletcher at and she will answer any
questions and help you register. If you reach her, ask about the choir for
participants. I don't know whether to bring a clarinet or not.

My husband is coming with me (to carry luggage and open doors), and we will
meet up with my sister there, who has a friend who she is visiting in
Stockholm. Bill and I are stopping in Iceland for a few days prior to the
conference. If you fly Icelandair, the stop in Iceland is no extra charge,
except for hotels and meals. We are staying in a place that is = $70/night
double and are renting a car to drive through the country and see what we
want to see.

Let me know what your plans are, if you go. I would like to at least treat
you to dinner, if you would let me. New Orleans was so much more fun
because you were there.

My best,

I wasn't going to go but am considering trying to get an affordable
ticket. Are most of the events in one particular place? Is it near any
particular hotel? ANNIE
