I have a R13 case and cover from 1970, B flat French style.

I need to replace both, due to age and decided to get the cover first, which
I did.

The case cover has changed and basically doesn't fit the old case well at
all. So I put it away for now. So I am sure when I order the new case next
month, March, everything will be okay.

I really like the old vinyl cover I had, where the case handle comes through
the cover. Now it seals the case completely and has a carrying strap.

Why did they change the design and when, if any body knows.

I hope the new case is good, only complaint on the old was the latches,
reason for the cover. They didn't lock good at all. And I do know about
the Attache case, but I like the French style.

I will never forget my teacher saying in 1970, they make a great very
expensive clarinet, and they have it in a lousy cheap case! He was so
right!
