I would doubt such a resource exists. Or at least I couldn't find
something like this when I was preparing to teach the music history
survey at my school this summer. The new GP does not have something
like this as far as I know, and even Kerman's "Listen" which has the
best website among history texts doesn't have anything like this
(Kerman's book is at a more intro level than GP). Given that
anthologies on CDs were still uncommon in the early 90s and that
orchestration textbooks have just started including recordings of the
instruments, I wouldn't hold your breath for someone to make something
like this. A promising 6-part tour of 6 pieces of classical music was
cut by PBS before it was even fully scripted because the audience for
music history video seemed too small.
