I am new to this list and this is the first time I've responded to any
message. I had Carpel Tunnel syndrome surgery on my right hand about 3
years ago. While I still have some symptoms left they are not anywhere near
as bad as they were. I was a production line worker which is what caused the
problem in the first place, I chose a new profession after the surgery which
is part of the reason the surgery was successful I am told. I play the
clarinet part time as a hobby so I don't know how successful it would have
been if I had been a full time musician. Anyway I would recommend the
surgery if your symptoms are frequent and severe. Hope this helps somewhat.
