This is the way that I figured out how to do it; what helped me the most,
though, was watching someone else doing it, and trying to mimic that. Took
me about ten or fifteen minutes to get fairly decent on it from there. If
you can't get the smear, some people just play the chromatic scale. But
it's not nearly as fun.
