Thank you for making this point, Dee!

The prejudice can start from any direction, it is too darn easy to not
make the translation from seeing part of a job and experiencing all of a
job.

To continue with your example, engineers can get the attitude that the
factory line workers don't work hard because there is little long term
thought and planning and decision-making.

I can think of several jobs or situations where most of staff thought
everyone else had an easier job. I have learned this is a strong signal
that there may be problems with the project/ organization/ company.
