Bienvenido, Susana. I realize that reading and writing a second
language is not the same as hearing and speaking it, but your written
English is easy to understand.
If you are proposing a translator in real time during the lectures
and concerts, it would expensive. I'm not part of ClarinetFest myself,
but I'm quite sure that a full-time translator is beyond ICA's budget.
However, a number of us speak Spanish well enough to help you if
there are any words on the registration form that you don't recognize,
and I would be astonished if the staff at the hotel/airlines/display
rooms doesn't include Spanish speakers.
I haven't travelled in South America, but I have in Spain and
Mexico. Exploring another culture's language and the import of its
idioms was part of the fun for me!
Cheers,
Bill
