Yes, I play one of those brands, and it cracked after a couple of 
years when the previous owner moved from seacoast to desert.   It was 
pinned by a local repairman. 
 
I'm not mentioning the brand name because:   (a) I don't really 
view this as the manufacturer's fault; and   (b) it plays beautifully 
with the pins, and so I don't see the cracking as a black mark against 
the manufafcturer (my teacher has expressed jealousy about its tone); 
and   (c) even if 25 people on this list reported incidents and one 
brand was cited more often thyan others, I doubt this would be 
statistically significant.   Yo'd need a much larger sample, IMO.
