I am a repairman and I wouldn't suggest an unmechanically inclined person to
do it if I thought they would get themselves and their instrument in trouble
doing so. How mechanically inclined must one be to file their fingernails,
prey tell? Send me the clarinet, pay the postage both ways and I'll do it for
free. For others, not so mechanically inclined, send me your fingers and I'll
give them a manicure, sending them back within the week. :-)
